Hello and welcome 49 and Market friends.
Tina Ollett with you today to share one last project before the New Year creeps in.
And since it is the season for Christmas I decided to do something a little festive!
“Seasons Greetings” has been created using the absolutely gorgeous Winter’s Edge Collection. I have to admit (as many of my friends would know) I am not a huge fan of doing Christmas layout. But having used this collection now 4 times has really got me loving the Christmas theme. The papers are really versatile in that you really could use the collection for something other than Christmas. That will be my next project I am thinking!
So for todays project I have used the following papers:
I actually used two pieces of Robins Note. I think this would have to be a favourite piece from the collection. For the project I cut a framework out of the b side and layered it over the a side distressing and tearing the paper a little to allow the white core to seep through. 49andMarket papers are wonderful for distressing to give your layout that extra bit of texture. I then used the music sheet from the Laser Cut-Out pack. These were all cut up and then I just decided which I would add to my layout. I then went on to do lots of layering with the remaining papers.
All the papers were distressed heavily and or sanded. I also did some tearing of the papers again to show through the white core.
I firstly adhered down all my Laser Cut elements and popped some up on 3D foam tape to give height. After they were all stuck down (and I used every single one bar 3) I then went on to adding in my flowers. I only used a few flowers this time around. The flowers used are:
and
I also added in some splatters of white acrylic paint as well as some random stamping.
How cute are the Laser Cut elements? The lamp and the car are just adorable. To make some the of elements go further I cut them in half. This is something that I also do with flowers.
Well that is all from me today. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a safe and very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Until next year take care.
