#Selfie

Tina Ollett with you today to share my next 49andMarket Design Team Creation.

This is “#selfie” …..

My project today was inspired purely by the gorgeous blooms that I found in my Design Team box but had not yet used. Red really is not a go to colour for me but I always like to challenge myself and that I did. So using the flowers is basically working backwards in my world. So I set off to find a photo and I searched high and low until I come across this gorgeous photo of my eldest, a selfie she took last year.

I team the photos with a gorgeous background patterned paper from the Captured Adventures collection. I did some stencilling and splatters using a Gold/ Brown from the Inka Gold range. My next step was to layer up some frayed 49andMarket Burlap. I love using this in a very distressed way. In some places I have layered the burlap over each other and between elements on the project layout.

As most are probably aware I love to use chipboards and this time around here I have used 3 packs of the “Timeless” 49andMarket Archival Boards in black. Already coloured it is a dream to cover with any medias. This time around I have used the clocks and cogs and dressed them very randomly in the Gold/Brown Inka Gold. They were also cut to go further around my photos and embellishments.

 

 

Above you can see the Burlap Trim that I have used as matting around my photo and embellishments. I like to distress the burlap after it is cut to give a rustic finish and look to my project.
